Q. what is an Internet service provider (I.S.P)
A. an Internet Service Provider is someone who gives you a means of connecting to the Internet. (i.e. BT, Telewest, NTL, Surf-unlimited or AOL)

Q. Can I host my own web site?
A. You can but you will need a computer connected directly to the Internet to do this?

Q. I already have an e-mail service do I need another one?
A. No we can route all e-mails to your web site to your existing e-mail account.

Q. What is e-commerce?
A. E-commerce is a term devised by those who wish to sell/purchase goods on the Internet.

Q. Can you sell goods from any web site?
A. Yes - However, you will need some special configuration and software on your web site to do so.

Q. What is a catalogue site?
A. A catalogue site is a simple web site that allows you sell products/services on the Internet.

Q. What is the difference between a .com .uk and .org.uk
A. There are different type of companies organisations therefore there are different types of web sites.

• .com - is a usually a large company that is registered in U.S.
• .co.uk - is usually a British based company.
• .org.uk - an non-profit organisation in the U.K.
• .net - usually reserved for Internet service providers.
